The office of the Mizoram SLDC Circle was created vide Notification No.A.11013/4/93-P&E/Pt Dated 31-03-2008. And the charge of SE(SLDC) was assumed by Er. V.Rodingliana but without official function of the Circle Office.
On 18th June 2008, the charge of SE(SLDC) was taken over by Er.C.Lianlunga SE and the Circle office first started its official function on 18th June 2008 from the private building belonging to Pu C.Lianlunga, Mission Veng, Aizawl.
The Gov't of Mizoram had conveyed an Administrative Approval for hiring the private building belonging to Pi Vanrami, Tuikhuahtlang, Aizawl for office accomodation of the SE(SLDC) @Rs.13340/- per month(vide No.D.11011/26/2008-P&E/Pt Dt.24-07-2008). The plinth area of the RCC building is 290sqm. The Circle office was shifted and occupied the building belonging to Pi Vanrami of Tuikhuahtlang with effect from Dt.1st July,2008.The Office building is shifted on August, 2012 at Engineer-in-Chief Building 3rd Floor at Electric Veng.
The office of the Superintending Engineer, Mizoram SLDC Circle was declared as Head of office under schedule-I of the Deligation of Financial Power Rules, 1978 for excercising financial powers (vide Gov't. Notification No.G.17012/1/2000-F.Est Dt.22-07-2008).
The officers and staff responsible for the establishment of the Circle office as on 1st July,2008 were as below :-
